Punakaiki Beach Camp

Punakaiki Beach Camp is a scenic and well‑loved holiday park and campground set right between the beach, river and the iconic Paparoa National Park on the West Coast of the South Island.

Just a short walk (about 700 m) north of the famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes, it provides a relaxing coastal camping experience with a variety of accommodation options — including powered and unpowered campsites, cosy riverside cabins, quirky budget cabins, self‑contained units and whole holiday houses — all surrounded by native bush, ocean views and dramatic limestone cliffs.

Guests enjoy excellent shared facilities like hot showers, communal kitchens and dining areas, laundry and drying rooms, free Wi‑Fi and a dump station, making it both a practical and beautiful base for exploring Punakaiki’s natural attractions, beaches, bush walks and the Paparoa Track.
